Our extended hours London STD testing service is very flexible. You do not have to give your real name when you book your appointment with Better2Know. You can arrive at a time convenient to you on a given day. You will be seen quickly and efficiently by a nurse trained to take samples, for the STD/ STI tests you have pre-arranged with Better2Know. You will be telephoned by Better2Know with the results within 2-3 days (5 days for a full screen) and at that stage you can book an appointment with a doctor at no further charge if you would like to.

HIV 28 Day Test: cost £120
The HIV 28 Day can reliably detect HIV infection that happened more than 28 days before testing. If you are worried about a risky exposure that happened within the last month, you should consider the 10 Day HIV test which is available at our out of hours London clinic. The 28 Day HIV test combines an antibody test with a test for the p24 antigen. This test is called the 'Duo' because it tests for both HIV 1 & 2 antibodies as well as the 'HIV P24 antigen'. We send a small blood sample to our laboratory and the results are usually available sameday or the next day. The HIV DUO test including the p24 antigen is considered 99.8% accurate.
HIV 90 Day Test: cost £120
The traditional HIV test typically offered by the NHS GUM clinics. This test can detect HIV infection that happened more than 90 days before testing and is available at our out of hours London clinic. However, most of our clinics can provide you an instant result within minutes, while the NHS can take up to 2 weeks! This HIV test is considered 99.9% accurate.
HIV 10 Day Test (with Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C): cost £250
This is the most sensitive HIV test and can detect HIV 1 infection that was contracted more than 10 days before testing. The 10 day HIV test is not as reliable as the 28 and 90 Day Tests, but can provide you peace of mind faster than any other test. Whatever your result, we advise that you follow up a 10 Day test with an HIV Duo Test 28 days after any potentially risky exposure. All tests are available at our out of hours London clinic.
