You are not immune to Chlamydia after having it once. There are lots of factors that play into the recurrence of the disease. That is why it is really important that you take any medication exactly as your doctor tells you.  You should also abstain from sex for as long as your doctor tells you, which may include time after you have finished taking your medication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you get the same symptoms again it is more likely that you have been reinfected, either from your partner who has not been treated, has not finished their medication, or has not taken it correctly, a new partner, or from a sex toy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>How Likely Am I To Get Chlamydia Again?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people will become reinfected with chlamydia, even if they have had it before. You cannot become immune to catching chlamydia.
