How does the STI Four screen work?
Once you have purchased your Better2Know Home Test online, we will send a plainly packaged testing kit to an address of your choice. The kit will contain three finger prick lancets and one small gold-topped tube for blood collection, a clear container for urine collection, a pathology form, wipes and a free return envelope. We will also email you a detailed instruction leaflet, providing a step-by-step guide on how to take your respective samples. It is vital that you follow those instructions carefully. When you are done, send the samples back to us in the prepaid envelope provided.
How accurate is this screen?
At Better2Know, we take the accuracy of our tests extremely seriously, with all Home Testing pathology performed in our fully certified, UK laboratory. This screen is only appropriate to patients that have achieved a minimum incubation period of 28 days. This means that the test is most accurate at least four weeks after any potential exposure.
Is my screen confidential?
Yes, the personal details you provide will remain totally anonymous and 100% confidential. You do not have do give us your real name, and we will not inform any third parties, including your GP, of your results without consent.
When will my test kit arrive?
If you order your STI Four Home Test before 4pm between Monday and Friday, we will send it out to you, first class, on the same day. Your discreetly packaged kit should arrive within two working days.
How will I receive my results?
Results will be ready within two working days of your sample’s arrival at our accredited laboratory. As soon as all your results are available, Better2Know will contact you via a method of your preference (telephone, email, SMS). In the meantime, you can access these results directly via the secure patient login area of our website.
What if I test positive?
If you do test positive for an STI, Better2Know will conduct confirmatory testing at no further charge. We can arrange a telephone or face-to-face consultation with a doctor (there is a small additional charge for this) and, if necessary, we will refer you to a specialist service.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When will you send my kit to me?
If your order is placed before 4pm on a working day, then it will be sent the same day. Otherwise it will be sent on the next working day.
Q: Why do you need my email address?
Your Patient Services Manager, Louise Wright, will email you your login details to access your results, a confirmation your kit has been dispatched and finally when all your results are ready. We do not sell on or email you any other marketing materials, that is why we do not ask you to opt in or out of anything.
Q: Do I need to use my real name?
No, but the postman does need to know where to deliver the kit to. As long as you use a name that will get the kit to you, then we do not need your real name.
Q: What does the kit packaging look like?
It will arrive in plain white envelope with your typed name and address on it.
Q: What if I have any more questions?
You can email Louise by replying to one of the emails she has sent to you. She will do her best to answer them.
