Arrivals for UK resident children or from countries on the Approved Vaccination Programme list
- Children aged 0-4 are exempt from the Day 2 test
- Children aged 5-17 must take a Day 2 Test, on or before Day 2 (Arrival day is day 0) but are not required to take a Day 8 Test
- All Children (0-17) are exempt from quarantine upon return from a country on the Approved Vaccination Programme list.
Arrivals for non-UK resident children and from countries not on the Approved Vaccination Programme list
- Children aged 11+ must take a Covid test before travelling to England
- Children aged 0-4 are exempt from the Day 2/8 tests
- Children aged 5-17 must take a Day 2 Test, on or before Day 2 (Arrival day is day 0) as well as a Day 8 Test
- All Children (0-17) must quarantine at home or in the place they’re staying for 10 days, or for the duration of their stay if it’s less than 10 days
* If one or more adults in your household buys a Test to Release, then every other person in the household (adults and children of all ages) must also buy a Test to Release. These tests must be added manually for children, and you can find them here (opens in new tab).
