Product Description

A urine-only test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea.

Is this Chlamydia & Gonorrhoea test accurate?

Yes, this is an accurate test that allows you to test for both Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea from the comfort and privacy of your own home. However, if you are not sure which STI you may have or are concerned about a risky encounter, you may wish to opt for the Full Screen which tests for a range of infections.

How does this test work?

This test only needs a urine sample. After you have bought your test online, we will post your discreet STI test pack to your home (the postal pack is plain so no one will know what it is). Open the pack and inside you will find a form, container for collecting urine, instruction leaflet and pre-paid return envelope. The leaflet will give you step-by-step instructions on how to collect your sample. It is important that you follow the instructions on the leaflet carefully. When your results are ready, you will get an email to let you know. You can also log on and check your results securely online at a time to suit you.

When will my test arrive?

If you order your test before 4pm Monday to Friday, we will send it out to you by first class post the same day. Your test kit should arrive the next working day or the day after, depending on where you live.

How long before I get my test result?

The results of your Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea test will normally be ready within two working days from when your sample arrives at the laboratory.

What happens if my test is positive?

Better2Know can arrange an appointment with a Doctor if you would like us to, so that you can discuss the results and get a prescription for the required medication. There will be a small fee for this. Alternatively, you can take your results to your own GP.

Is testing through Better2Know confidential?

Yes. Your results and details are 100% confidential and we aren't allowed to inform your GP or anyone without your permission.

How long should I wait after sex before getting a Chlamydia & Gonorrhoea test?

Typically, you should wait 2 weeks since your last risky encounter before getting tested. This is because the test will not usually be able to detect Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea until 2 weeks have passed since infection.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When will you send my kit to me?

If your order is placed before 4pm on a working day, then it will be sent the same day. Otherwise it will be sent on the next working day.

Q: Why do you need my email address?

Your Patient Services Manager, Louise Wright, will email you your login details to access your results, a confirmation your kit has been dispatched and finally when all your results are ready. We do not sell on or email you any other marketing materials, that is why we do not ask you to opt in or out of anything.

Q: Do I need to use my real name?

No, but the postman does need to know where to deliver the kit to. As long as you use a name that will get the kit to you, then we do not need your real name.

Q: What does the kit packaging look like?

It will arrive in plain white envelope with your typed name and address on it.

Q: What if I have any more questions?

You can email Louise by replying to one of the emails she has sent to you. She will do her best to answer them.
