Product Description

Better2Know's HPV test can detect 14 high-risk types.

Which tests are included?

The Better2Know home sample collection HPV test will give you individual results for 14 High-Risk Types of the HPV Virus. These are types: 16 and 18 (which are the most common cause of cervical cancer), 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66, and 68.

Is the HPV test accurate?

Yes, this is an accurate test performed in an accredited laboratory in London.

How does this test work?

This test requires you to take your own vaginal swab. After you have bought your test online, we will post your discreet test pack to your home (the postal pack is plain so no one will know what it is). Inside the pack, you will find everything you need to collect the sample, including a postage-paid return envelope and a pathology form. In addition, we will send you a copy of the sample collection instruction leaflet. The leaflet will give you instructions on how to collect your sample. It is important that you follow the instructions on the leaflet carefully. You will get an email when your results are ready, but you can log on and check online whenever you like.

When will my test kit arrive?

If you order your test before 4pm Monday to Friday, we'll post it to you first class the same day. Depending upon where you live, your HPV test should arrive the next working day or the day after.

How long before I get my results?

The results of this HPV test should be ready within five working days from when your sample arrives at the laboratory.

What happens if my test shows the presence of the virus?

We can arrange an appointment with a Doctor so that you can discuss the results and get a prescription for the required medication (there will be a small fee for this), or you can take your results to your own GP.

Is testing for STDs through Better2Know confidential?

Yes. Your results and details are 100% confidential and we will not inform your GP or anyone else without your permission.

How long should I wait after an encounter before getting this STD test?

The HPV virus is very common but can take time to be detected. For this test, it is important that you get tested regularly (every two to five years).

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When will you send my kit to me?

If your order is placed before 4pm on a working day, then it will be sent the same day. Otherwise it will be sent on the next working day.

Q: Why do you need my email address?

Your Patient Services Manager, Louise Wright, will email you your login details to access your results, a confirmation your kit has been dispatched and finally when all your results are ready. We do not sell on or email you any other marketing materials, that is why we do not ask you to opt in or out of anything.

Q: Do I need to use my real name?

No, but the postman does need to know where to deliver the kit to. As long as you use a name that will get the kit to you, then we do not need your real name.

Q: What does the kit packaging look like?

It will arrive in plain white envelope with your typed name and address on it.

Q: What if I have any more questions?

You can email Louise by replying to one of the emails she has sent to you. She will do her best to answer them.
