How does the screen work?

Once you have purchased your kit online, we will send a discreet pack to an address of your choice by first-class post. Inside your plainly packaged testing kit, you will find a pathology form, six finger prick lancets, two small gold-topped tubes, a container for urine collection, wipes and a prepaid return envelope. You will also receive a detailed leaflet that will give you clear, step-by-step instructions on how to collect your samples; it is important to follow those instructions carefully. Once you are done, post the samples back to us in the envelope provided. Your samples will go straight to the laboratory for swift and efficient analysis.

How accurate is the Platinum Screen?

All the pathology for Better2Know’s Home Testing is performed in our central, accredited laboratory, ensuring the highest degree of accuracy. Our comprehensive Platinum Screen requires respective blood and urine samples, and has an incubation period of 28 days. This means that the screen is most appropriate at least four weeks after an incident of concern.

When you test with Better2Know, you can rest assured that all your personal details and results will remain completely confidential. You do not have do give your real name and we will not inform your GP, or any other third party, without your permission.

How will I receive my results?

All of your results will be made available online via your secure patient login area, so you can access them whenever you like. Furthermore, Better2Know will contact you once all your results are ready through your preference of telephone call, email, or SMS.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When will you send my kit to me?

If your order is placed before 4pm on a working day, then it will be sent the same day. Otherwise it will be sent on the next working day.

Q: Why do you need my email address?

Your Patient Services Manager, Louise Wright, will email you your login details to access your results, a confirmation your kit has been dispatched and finally when all your results are ready. We do not sell on or email you any other marketing materials, that is why we do not ask you to opt in or out of anything.

Q: Do I need to use my real name?

No, but the postman does need to know where to deliver the kit to. As long as you use a name that will get the kit to you, then we do not need your real name.

Q: What does the kit packaging look like?

It will arrive in plain white envelope with your typed name and address on it.

Q: What if I have any more questions?

You can email Louise by replying to one of the emails she has sent to you. She will do her best to answer them.
