What is testosterone?

Testosterone is one of the sex hormones. It is responsible for the development of male characteristics. For men, it is produced in the testes and regulates sex drive, controls bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass, strength, development of facial hair and the production of red blood cells and sperm. Testosterone levels start to decline naturally in men after the age of 30. What should I do with my results?

If your home test reveals abnormal testosterone levels for your gender and age, you should see a GP or healthcare professional.
