Happy National STI Test Day! Although this may be one day that the greetings card makers have yet to make cards for, today is National STI Test Day.  It is two weeks after New Year, which is the recommended incubation or window period for a number STIs.

If you are reading this, the chances are that you are considering an STI test, you probably know people who should also get tested.  However we suspect it is not something you will discuss with your friends and colleagues, and do we really do enough to encourage each other to get tested?  If you knew someone with a toothache, you would suggest a dentist and maybe recommend your own dentist, but do we take the same care of our sexual health?

Two weeks is the perfect time to get tested for:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhoea
  • Syphilis
  • Herpes 1 and 2 (if you have symptoms)
  • Hepatitis B (Early Detection)
  • Hepatitis C
  • HIV (Early Detection)
  • Ureaplasma
  • Gardnerella
  • Mycoplasma

We make getting tested as easy and efficient as possible.  We do not ask you any embarrassing questions, and we do not need your real name to book.  All we need to know is where and when you want to get tested.  You can always speak to a doctor if you do test positive, so that we can help you to get the treatment that you need.

If you know anyone who needs a test, remind them in is National STI testing day, it shows you care, and reminds them they are not alone.
