WHY GET AN STD SCREEN?

We provide a full sexual health screen that tests for the most common STDs. You should consider having this if one of the following applies to you:

  • You recently had a risky sexual incident which you are worried about.
  • You have symptoms which could be a sexually transmitted disease (STD).
  • You are about to start a new relationship and want to know your sexual health status.
  • You just want overall peace of mind.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

The Better2Know STD Screen tests is designed to give you a comprehensive picture of your sexual health and provide peace of mind. The price is £295. The actual screen comprises one blood sample and one urine sample (and may include a swab for women) which tests for the following common sexually transmitted diseases:

HIV 1 to 3 days
Chlamydia 3 days
Gonorrhoea 3 days
Syphilis 1 to 2 days
Hepatitis B 1 day
Mycoplasma & Ureaplasma 5 days
         Thrush (women only) 5 days

In addition, the following tests can be added to these screens if you are worried or are advised by the doctor to do so:

Herpes  2 to 5 days
HPV (Genital Warts) 5 days

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Please do not urinate for three hours before your appointment. This is because some of these tests will need a urine sample.

Please note that results time are indicative and may be shorter or longer depending on your testing location, tests taken and time of testing.
