Which hormones will the Female Hormones Screen identify?
Better2Know’s screen will test you for:
- Luteinizing hormone (LH)
- Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)
- Prolactin (luteotropic hormone)
- Oestradiol (17 Beta) (A hormone that affects the activity of the ovaries)
Hormones are chemicals that are produced by certain cells in your body. They regulate a variety of different processes such as metabolism, digestion, lactation and reproduction. The focal hormones in this profile all regulate a woman’s reproductive cycle. Significantly higher or lower levels can affect a woman’s ability to conceive or carry a child. If unbalanced, it can also indicate problems with certain glands such as the Pituitary and Thyroid glands.
