What other tests should I have?
It is important to carefully consider your personal circumstances when deciding what tests are right for you. If you have recently had sexual contact or intercourse with a new partner, you should consider an STI Screen. Many sexually transmitted infections do not carry any symptoms or if they do have symptoms, these may be masking the symptoms of other infections you may have. It is a good idea to consider getting tested for a range of possible infections in particular infections including Syphilis, HIV and Hepatitis. These infections are best diagnosed from a blood sample, so you might consider some additional tests:
The Full Screen: This will test you for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis B, Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma. Results take 3 days from when your sample is received in our testing laboratory.
The Platinum Screen: This will test you for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Ureaplasma, Mycoplasma, Trichomonas, Gardnerella and Herpes Simplex Type 1 and Type 2. Results take 3 days from when your sample is received in our testing laboratory.
