What is the Platinum Screen?
Better2Know’s Platinum Screen is our most comprehensive STI screen, testing for eleven infections. This test is suitable when 28 days have passed since the last incident you are concerned about. The Platinum Screen provides a complete picture of your overall sexual health.
For HIV testing, our Platinum Screen also looks for the p24 antigen. This antigen is the first marker of the presence of HIV; therefore, it can detect the infection at an early stage. Early diagnosis of HIV and any other STI is important to prevent future health complications.
Which STIs are tested for?
Our Platinum Screen tests for:
- HIV I/II and the p24 antigen
- Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis C
- Herpes I/II (Current Infection)
Which samples are needed?
This screen requires a blood and urine sample. There are no fasting requirements for this test, but please make sure that you can produce a urine sample during your appointment. No uncomfortable or embarrassing swabs will need to be taken.
How do I get my results?
