What is the Full Screen?

Better2Know's Full Screen has been designed by medical experts to provide you with a full picture of your sexual health. It tests for the STIs and STDs which people are most worried about and / or can cause long term health implications if left untreated. This test has an incubation period of 28 days. This is the time between your last potential exposure and your screen.

Which STIs are tested for?

Our Full Screen tests for:

  • HIV I/II & the p24 antigen
  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhoea
  • Syphilis
  • Hepatitis B
  • Mycoplasma
  • Ureaplasma

You can also add other STIs that you may want to include (for example Herpes, Hepatitis C) at our additional test rate.

Which samples are needed?

The Full Screen needs a blood and urine sample. There are no painful or embarrassing swabs. There are no fasting requirements for this test. Please make sure that you are able to produce a urine sample at your appointment.

How do I get my results?

Our Patient Services Team will contact you once all your results are ready. Usually, we will phone you with your results. However, we know that this may not work for everyone. You can, instead, choose to receive an email or SMS. You can also call us at a time that suits you. Please let our booking team know your preferred method of contact.

What if I test positive?

We will help you. Most STIs are curable and we will help you get any medicine you need quickly and discreetly. If you test positive for HIV or Hepatitis, we will help you with the next stages of your treatment. We will discuss with you what it right for you and refer you to an appropriate specialist.

If you prefer, you can of course take your results to your own GP.
