When you arrive for your appointment, a nurse or clinician will collect the swab and blood samples. The blood sample will involve a small finger prick, and the swab will involve two swabs from your urethra for men and vagina for women.
When will I get my results?
You will receive results from your Instant Eight Screen during your appointment. Upon receipt of your results, you will also be given a copy of Better2Know's Rapid Test Results Report, which you can add to your personal records.
What if my test is positive?
If you test positive on the Instant Eight Screen, it means you have tested positive for one or more of the STIs included in the screen. Your treatment will depend on which STIs you tested positive for.
If you test positive for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B or Hepatitis C, you will be offered a confirmatory test at no further charge. You can schedule a private consultation through Better2Know with one of our experienced doctors, or you can take your results to your own doctor.
